About Semper Fights

Semper Fights™ is the fight organization dedicated to supporting all branches of the Armed Forces by bringing the popular sport of Mixed Martial Arts to bases all over the world to entertain the troops. DD Productions, LLC is the parent corporation and both are owned and operated by Monica Sanford.

For over 20 years Monica has been married to a Marine Lt Colonel and two time Iraq veteran. Both of her parents and her sister served on active duty in the Army as well. The military has been her life, this is her passion and this is how she has chosen to give back. All shows display the utmost respect, honor and tradition of the military and showcase active duty and former military fighters.

Semper Fights was founded in 2006 when Monica contracted with Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) to start a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu/MMA Club on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and it was so successful that it became a fully sponsored Varsity Sport for the base.

She then contracted to bring a fully sanctioned live MMA event to the base, the first of it's kind on an east coast Marine base. It was also a huge success with over 3000 fans and a portion of the proceeds were donated to the local USO.

Her most recent event was sponsored by Armed Forces Entertainment and the Pentagon to take the first ever fully sanctioned/commissioned MMA event to troops overseas serving in Iraq. Main event sponsor also included Xtreme Couture GI Foundation.

The Army's Greywolf Brigade hosted DD Productions in Mosul Iraq on Sept 5th, 2009. A film crew from Owned Entertainment traveled with Monica and 20 others to capture this event for a documentary; it is due to be released early 2010.
